A new heart-warming success story!


Ruth, a 14-year old Chihuahua that recently lost her best dog friend welcomed home a new member of the family. Jewel, a 4 1/2 year old Tortie was adopted from the Safe House by a loving couple. Ruth and Jewel instantly bonded and quickly became inseparable. The family said that Ruth "has her spark back". The two pals spend most of their days exploring the house as a team, and in the evening, the two snuggle together on the sofa, with Jewel's comforting paw on the sleeping Ruth.
